Los Angles County Museum of Art - Nikon

Now I did have other items on my agenda in LA apart from Pinkberry.
One spot was the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. After some foot dragging on Saturday we set out into the urban jungle to visit.
I brought two cameras on this trip and I have split up the pics into two different posts due to timing issues between the cameras and a lack of being able to post a consistent flow. You will notice it again in my post at the Getty.
The Garmin. Did you know that in the original French Garmin translates as Garbage?

Dios mio!

Exhibit Name: City Lights

Right off the entrance there was a room for Pacific Art. Lotsa packages in that room...

Germans....
Chemical Brothers album covers...
Lamps...

Kandinsky...

Picasso...

Can't remember...but as we entered these next few pics we entered the Abstract Expressionism. My favorites.

Lee Krasner aka Mrs. Jackson Pollock

Here we go. Why I wanted to goto the LACMA. First Pollock seen with my own eyes since Blue Poles in Australia in 1998.

Looking back towards the beginning of the exhibit...
Outside. In the distance? Tar.
The museum of Japanese art.

The man for whom Hancock Park is named.
Bubbles...from?
The La Brea Tar Pits! Woot!

The Variety building.
The terrifying, open escalator leading up to the third floor of the Broad Building of Contemporary Art.
Got up to the top and what did I see? The Hollywood sign. These photos do not do the view justice.
The Hills.

Took this pic...
And then with this one I was informed that there were no pictures. The room was full of Warhols and I was so bummed to find out. I did snap a few Casio pics on the down low...
